We are so proud to share a double SHOWBIZ KIDZ SHINE story!
Congratulations to our advanced dance students, Delaney Fiore & Amanda Lindquist for being named 11th & 10th grade Phillipsburg High School Students Of The Month for December 2018! We are so proud of you both!

We are so proud of our SBK competition dancers Emma & Michaela for their beautiful performances in two local productions of The Nutcracker this holiday season. Emma performed with Hunterdon Hills Ballet & Michaela performed with Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker. Their love for dance shined brighter than the stage lights. We at SBK are so blessed to be part of their dance journeys.

We are so proud to share our very first SHOWBIZ KIDZ SHINE STORY:

Our nine-year-old competitive student, Vanessa Soetebeer did a week-long dance intensive in NYC this month with an up and coming organization called Koin & Co. The goal of this new company to provide young dancers real hands-on experience in the industry and to set them up for a successful career.  Acceptance into this innovative program allowed her to train in ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical and contemporary styles of dance with some of the best industry professionals. Congratulations Vanessa! We can not wait to hear all about your wonderful experience!

Congratulations Matthew!

We could not be prouder to announce that our alumni-student Matthew Varvar was just signed by the talent agency: bloc NYC. They are a highly desirable agency for representation and they specialize in dancers and choreographers. This is a major accomplishment for Matthew who continues to shine in his dance career.

Matthew started dancing at Showbiz Kids when he was 7 years old and was immediately placed in our competition program for over 10 years. He also choreographed for our senior contemporary team. After majoring in dance at Marymount Manhattan in NYC, Matthew began dancing professionally doing the national tours of “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat” and “Elf the Musical”.  He then joined the on board entertainment for Holland American Cruise Lines, performing on board the ship throughout the Hawaiian islands and Alaska. Congratulations Matthew! Continue to keep shining bright and following your dreams!

2017 brought on a major baby boom with our SBK alumni family. And the year ended with 3 back to back births, welcoming a new generation of tiny dancers. Pictured here is Sarah and baby Giovanni. Giovanni’s mama danced with us for 10 years. Baby Ellie’s mama Amanda & baby Ava’s mama Sarah are both former dancers & teachers of SBK.
Did you or someone you know that use to dance with us have a baby in 2017 or are you expecting one in 2018? Share in the comments. We love to see our family grow.

SBK has another success story to tell!  Emma Dorrler, a 12 yr. old competition student, was accepted into two of the most prestigious classical ballet summer intensive programs in NYC. One is the school associated with American Ballet Theatre, and the other is the School of American Ballet, which is the associate school of the New York City Ballet. All of us on staff at SBK are so thrilled that Emma’s talent is being noticed by two of the world’s leading classical ballet companies. Congrats Emma!! What an awesome accomplishment!
